Like so many couples in the past few months, Meg and Jon had a back-up date in place in case their spring wedding couldn’t happen due to Covid. Luckily with vaccines coming out and venue restrictions becoming more reasonable, they decided to move forward! And it was perfect! They had a beautiful and colorful spring day for their Newport Vineyards wedding.
The weather was perfect for this early April wedding, low 60s and sunny. It was a bit windy, but for spring in New England, I don’t think we could have had a better day weather wise!
Meg and Jon wanted to do a first look and had a great connection to do their first look at Fort Adams in Newport Rhode Island. This was my first time at Fort Adams and it was such a unique and historic location for their first look and wedding party photos. So long story short, the couples’ neighbor happened to work at the Fort and was able to allow us into a few restricted areas of the fort. Not to mention where we did their first look and portraits is haunted!
From the Fort we headed to the stunning Newport Vineyards in Middletown Rhode Island for their ceremony and reception. Their ceremony took place on the lawn in front of the vineyard followed by an 8 course dinner!
It was so exciting to be able to capture a normal-ish feeling wedding again! There was a DJ, some dancing, lots of laughter and it felt good! After last year and a tough winter, it was so refreshing and fun to be at a bigger wedding! Masks were still required as well as other restrictions per the state, but it was still so great!
Congratulations to Meg and Jon and on their beautiful spring Newport Vineyards wedding! It was an amazing way to kick off busy season!
